Northwood Pines Supper Club

Travel up to the Northwoods and you will stumble across one of Wisconsin’s oldest supper clubs. Surrounded by the beautiful woods up north and Patricia Lake, you can enjoy the deliciousness of Northwood Pines food. As you drive into the parking lot of Northwood Pines you are greeted with the beautiful landscape of the Northwoods. 

The building itself is a three-story house. They provide both indoor and outdoor seating. Northwood Pines supplies some of the best supper club dinners and fish fries. This supper club books weddings and banquet events as well. And who could forget about a Wisconsin Old Fashioned?  

Now this place becomes crowded quickly, and a reservation is encouraged before your next visit. There is a reason why this supper club has over 500+ five-star reviews. While waiting for your table, stop and have a drink at the bar.

The atmosphere is more updated to match today’s fine dining restaurants. 

When entering this supper club you are greeted right at the door with a warm smile. 

Its bar is spacious, and its cocktail list is to die for. The dining room is dimly lit, with a more fine dining feel. 

The menu consists of exquisite cuts of meat, fresh seafood, and delicious salads. 

When I dined here for the first time I was taken back by their long list of different mules, and old fashions you may order. 

I had to try almost everything! I was not disappointed. 

This supper club is new to the area and for sure has a few things to work out, but that is expected with the opening of any restaurant. 

The service is a bit slow, and the kitchen is a bit understaffed. If you’re willing to be patient and enjoy a few drinks while waiting for your food, you won’t be disappointed. Northfork is becoming a Wisconsin gem, stop in to show your support!

Marty’s Place North

Established in 1982, Located just 7 miles north of Minocqua in beautiful Arbor Vitae, WI, and with that came Marty’s Place North. If you are willing to make the extra twenty-minute drive, then keep reading! 

This supper club is an up north gem. Its cuisine consists of steaks, seafood, and pasta. For all you drinkers out there, they also offer an extensive cocktail and wine list.

Marty’s Place North is an excellent place to cherish those memories with family and friends. The staff is always friendly, and the service is quick and efficient. 

The menu has something to satisfy everyone’s taste. The popular dishes consist of steak, seafood, or their best-selling appetizer, the scallops. Their portions are perfect for each person. What I mean by this is not too overpowering.

Smokey’s

Smokey’s, located in Manitowish Waters is a relaxed fine dining supper club experience you won’t forget. 

This supper club is known for its prime steaks and chops, fresh wild-caught Canadian walleye and Alaskan salmon, special wine pairings, and locally-sourced seasonal dishes.

Smokey’s is most definitely on the fine dine scale. The prices are a bit more than the usual supper club, but not too far off. You’re getting the best of what you pay for.

Little Bohemia Lodge

Step back into history at Little Bohemia Lodge! This supper club is a bit outside of Minocqua, but you won’t be disappointed. 

This lodge still stands today since the 1920s with all of its histories. When entering this lodge you can still witness bullet holes in the walls that unfolded 80 years ago! This supper club is also the modern-day filming location for the film Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp.
